Bixbite also known as Red Beryl, and marketed as red emerald or scarlet emerald, is an extremely rare variety of beryl and one of the rarest minerals on Earth. 

It has been reported only from a handful of locations as well, this gem is a thousand times rarer than gold. Gem-quality red beryl has only been found in the Wah-Wah mountains, the only source of gemstones. The narrow geographic range suggests that the specific conditions needed for its formation do not occur frequently.

The Bixbite mineral gets this attractive red color due to traces of Manganese present in it. Red Beryl can come in various tints like strawberry, bright ruby, cherry, and orange. and its tremendous color and luster make it an elegant choice for jewelry.
